DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION The College provides excellent opportunities for students to develop their talents in Sports and Games. The Campus with its salubrious ambience and well-maintained playgrounds provides ample facilities for sports and games. The many teams from the College regularly compete in the Inter-Collegiate and Inter-University tournaments.We have a unique tradition of producing distinguished sports persons in the country. Infrastructure for playing outdoor games like Cricket, Ball Badminton, Badminton, Basket ball, Hockey, Foot ball, Kho-Kho, Tennis, Kabaddi, Volley-ball, and Tenikoit, and indoor games like table tennis, Chess and Carrom exist. Students are encouraged to play on all working days and those who opt Physical Education in Part V will get extra training. Intramural tournaments and athletics are a regular feature. Winning teams are given shields. Certificates, cups and medals are given to individual winners and runners-up. Students who take real interest in Games and Sports will be included in the College teams and selected for participation in local, inter-collegiate (Zonal and Inter Zonal), State level and inter-University competitions.
