Scott Christian College (Autonomous), the 119-year old seat of higher learning in the southern most tip of India, offers doctoral, pre-doctoral, postgraduate and graduate programmes, catering mostly to the academic needs of the rural and the marginalized sections of various communities, and, thus, has been a pioneer in bringing about a silent, socio-economic and educational transformation in this part of our country.

You will be delighted to know that the Scott Alumni Association (SAA) of our dear alma mater, Scott Christian College, has been very active over the past couple of decades. And there has been an equally overwhelming response from a good number of our Alumni in becoming members of SAA. And what is remarkable is that over the past few years we have been able to open seven Chapters of SAA, one in the UAE and the others in Chennai. Coimbatore, Tiruvananthapuram, Mathurai, Mumbai and Bengaluru. And all the seven Chapters have been very active, strengthening SAA in all its activities, especially in mobilising resources for the SAA project. A few more Chapters are in the offing. And the US and Canadian Chapters are going to be launched soon.

As an expression of our love and gratitude, SAA has taken upon itself the project - Non- Resident Gent's Centre & Guest House, a labour of love indeed. It is a matter of great pride that we could complete the ground-floor with the help of our Alumni friends, which was declared open, on Feb 21, 2008 by one of our illustrious alumni, Admiral Oscar Stanley Dawson. And we hope to complete the first-floor (Guest House) which will also house the Alumni office, by the end of this biennium itself.

We earnestly solicit your munificent contribution and sincere cooperation in all our endevours and more particularly for the SAA project. And now the SAA General Body has resolved to enrol our spouses as Associate Members. We hope to be able to meet you all on the occasion of our Annual Get-together to be held in the Scott Alumni Hall, (the first ever contribution of the alumni), Scott Christian College, on the Scott Alumni Day, the First of May every year.
